Maybe it's a lack of passion. Maybe it's dealing with a newborn baby. Maybe it's the fact that this blog is receiving very little attention anymore (mostly my fault). Whatever it is, the Audio Pizza blog is on temporary, possible permanent hiatus. Thank you to those who have shown love over the past couple of years. If you like my taste in music, I will maintain the Audio Pizza playlist on Spotify. After all, I have to keep new music I love in a place somewhere. Here's the link to my Spotify playlist if you care to follow: AudioPizza
And one final send off, here's Phox, with "Slow Motion".
Thanks!!!

Chvrches
By far my favorite electro-pop band from Glasgow, Chvrches (pronounced 'churches'). They supposedly stylized their name with the 'v' so that people could actually search for them on Google.

July Talk
At the danger of angering many of you who have similar musical tastes as me, I have to admit it; I've never been a huge fan of Tom Waits. I initially can handle the angry raspiness, but it wears on me and I quickly grow tired. So you might be asking yourself: "How can he like July Talk if he doesn't like Waits?" Well, I have an answer for you. If TW had a talented, indie female vocalist accompanying him on every song, I think think I'd change my feelings. Hopefully this helps explain this crazy band out of Toronto July Talk.

Typhoon - White Lighter
I've been hearing the name of the band Typhoon for a little while (SXSW, NPR, KEXP, etc.) but I've never really given them a chance.
Over the last 2 days, I've listened to their new album White Lighter 4 or 5 times and I've become pretty enthralled. Once again, a band that initially comes off a little rough on the ears, but slowly becomes an obsession the more you listen (The National, Alt-j, etc.). Kind of like IPAs on the pallet. Young Fathers
